2:14:48 Data doesn't carry any information in itself, information is meaningless without human interpretation, machines don't care or understand at all what all of the data/information is about, so of course the human has to use the computer as a tool in the ways he sees fit, so as the computer has certain abilities and limitations, I guess the human has to adhere to it in lack of an even better tool. Doug Engelbart largely got stuck on text, because there wasn't a lot more that could be done at the time. Backend + customizable front end, yeah, that's something else, if already the human work of interpretation or coming up with the manual or automated curation already has been done or have being codified/configured, then we're entering what's known as agents or assistants, which of course still remain to be things that work on, with and for the machinery, because that's what they're made of, to come up with something reasonable to the human.

2:10:32 If there's only present and no past, everything is just captured in the forming of brain state with its many deficiencies, so it'll be hard to make progress without going in circles and revisiting the same things again and again, plus, if somebody new joins, it's impossible to convey the group journey/experience/learnings/insights without being there from the beginning. And what if one day/call is missed, how to catch up with what was discussed except with a checkin summary at the time expense of everybody else? Not that it isn't valuable to do it to get everybody onto the same page and reinterpret the previous call to see what others think of it, but if all this work is done anyway, it should be made available in more useful ways than just the linear throw-away recording. No matter if it is "dead" or "alive", it's important nonetheless. We don't rely on oral traditions, we can't start from scratch every time, therefore we write things down and record and capture and reference back.

2:09:04 Fine, but not everybody has time all the time to be in live-calls with everybody, especially given that the earth is round and has timezones.

2:05:06 I'm not aware of many attempts, only of the few orthodox ones. Please list every one you know, I would like to study them.

1:54:16 Yeah, at the time there was fear of the Euro zone crashing against the wall, so there was the impression that a decision is needed fast because there can be a "too late".

1:14:58 It guarantees as well that the worst ideas are never implemented. It also makes sure that the people will get exactly the fate they choose, so they themselves are the ones to blame. If the US has cultivated a population that doesn't mind to be governed by Trump, well, that's already a failure of the "elite" to provide a decent live for those who feel left behind, so people really need to experience the trip and hopefully learn from it, as a whole, as a nation. If we completely destroy the world in the process (with many angry people ending up at their door and negative feedback loops of years over years starting to affect them), that would only be a reflection of the state humans are currently in, and I wonder about alternatives, how you would handle the ignorant in a different governing system, depriving them of their vote/say/self-determination? Concluding that it would be best to get rid of them entirely?

18:38 No chance, absolutely no chance. Cheap oil and the car allowed megacities and urban living, so everything is carried out of the ground far away, transported over long distances, need to be packaged, cooled, is way too much over demand just to be thrown away, and then there's a waste concentration that can't be distributed again. And none of us can exit this setup as a single individual to have any impact, nobody would accept a reduction in lifestyle, if not by being incredibly forced to. 24:57 The Green Movement did try at least, now we're beyond hope to see a shift on voluntary basis.

2:33:53 No, it doesn't look like it at all. I mean, it has been written with a decent architecture several times, but those are abandoned, lost, and not available any more. If it's for the web, good luck with it. If the technological components are there, still some glue between them is missing.
