1:33:30 Here's where I get VERY ANGRY: Why don't you use the Dvorak keyboard setting? You just need to change the keyboard binding, but I guess you didn't do that in the past. Rectangular screens, fine, if you want, imagine that there are now round ones too, or triangular ones, would you be better off because of that? And what about 2D surfaces, did you buy a Google Glass? Did you invest in Magic Leap? Do you have a VR headset? Why do you guys still meet on Zoom?

1:31:39 And now, what to do about it? Improve our tools, which will waste much, much more time than before, or not look at others and other things? I don't mind investing time, but not for wrong and stupid reasons, lifetime is just way too precious to waste it unnecessarily. That's why I'm in favor of automating things, or to solve things once (properly) and for all times. Anger: there are other human beings who engage in the design of human lifetime wasting for questionable reasons/benefits of their own. But be careful, you can't make a better software system, that in itself is an incredible time investment, but not doing any software development, imagine if you would do accounting still manually, so it's kind of a dilemma. Collaboration is also not happening for mere social reasons, not necessarily limited to technical reasons. Our human systems are not made for humans. What about that? Also, do you recognize that there is a difference between humans and machines, that they don't intersect well? As systems of different types, they care about fundamentally different things and function fundamentally differently.

20:19 Engelbart at least tried seriously, but with all the conversations and crappy applications and laws involved nowadays, I think we can declare bankruptcy. Not even the 50th anniversary of the great demo is magnet enough to do something about organizing repositories of content, and it's practically impossible to find somebody seriously working on it.

1:35:13 Bumping into the linearity and scarcity of time in a audio/video call and trying to fix that by branching points off, which will only lead to firing multiple thoughts for everybody on every single branch, not realizing that the very software/method you're using is an instance of the horrible systems Glenn was describing a second earlier.
