1:29:20 If the economy breaks down, that's less of an issue, despite it'll be horrible already, but that's something we can recover from. If it will happen as a late consequence of the financial crisis, if we run out of certain important resources, humans can find alternatives, maybe not fast, maybe not conveniently, maybe only with huge loss. When the climate breaks down, then we're in real trouble and can't do anything about it, and that the economy can't supply us with basic stuff like food and water.

1:29:00 Quite right, YOU are destroying the environment. That's the problem, and you don't change, you can't, that's the problem, so it pretty much looks like we're doomed, aren't we?

1:27:43 Well, the economy and you being dependent on their supply (as there are no other models/sources), go and get out of that cycle, and you can't, hence destruction continues, so we really need to look at the economy. It's globalized mass production that needs to be looked at, especially if in the form of hyper-capitalistic race-to-the-bottom always-growth fashion.

1:25:30 But does it change your production of plastic waste? That's the real thing that needs to change, that's what really matters, to mitigate a grim future. Having that value is fine if you want to go down with style, but there are those who don't want to go down or not that fast or not in a terrible, but stylish way.

17:47 OK, it depends on what global challenges you pick, or abandon working on them entirely, but some of the problems of the world are really time-critical, in terms of even if you do nothing, it gets worse. So...

14:28 That's not obvious! The "About" seems to be only for opening the popunder submenu on mouse hover (also suggested by the down-arrow and the lack of underlining as standard for links), only being a navigation control, not for being clicked. The "About" submenu with "Resources" should also link to the "About us" page that contains the origin story.

11:07 Sure, if you're not talking, you don't need to think about what to say next and how, so you spot more things that the talkers miss in the heat of action. Listening to a recorded video alone with the ability to pause and jump is another mode with other opportunities to "get something out of it".

1:32:12 Today, education doesn't come from the school any more and nobody watches the media, today, we have the Internet. And while school+media are a result and remnant of the system that is, you surely have to step out of the system more and more to create a new one or change the existing one, as you can't exit it entirely from one day to another. If that process is to slow or if not enough people engage in it as they are lazy, the existing system will destroy the planet faster than we can adjust the system to work in the planets favor. Also, when it comes to us personally, we're not affected by the school or media any more, out of the former already and able to decide for ourselves what to watch/read, so the question and responsibility is indeed how we change our own consumption, to at least get started in some way.
