True, that's part of why HyperCard didn't became what the web is today (same for Xanadu and NLS), but: it wouldn't be too difficult to build a modern version of HyperCard (meaning: a system that works very visually with graphics and interactions with graphics), maybe using XHTML image maps or the XHTML5 canvas, and we wouldn't write the code for it by hand of course (by the way, there are plenty image map generator tools already, and if there's something wrong with them, I would write my own, I already did a simple, primitive one, which is why I have an affinity to HyperCard stuff, see my "virtual world editor" most early videos, I worked on this 7 years ago), but a tool/editor would allow similar capabilities than HyperCard did, minus dynamic scripting that auto-installs and executes from the server (instead, we provide basic scripting/programming/event/action functions in a predefined framework for the user to pick from, at first), plus inherent networking (talking to servers, maybe even cobrowsing? Which both weren't present with HyperCard). There are a few projects that try or did try exactly this, but I think we can do better if we build it for ourselves in a bootstrapping manner, or be it for Harry as the user.

45:02 Voice in real time as a medium has many, many, many downsides (it's also linear), and nobody works on improving/augmenting it. It's not too difficult to do a TimeBrowser thing. Belinda Barnet argues in Memory Machines, that Doug Engelbart and Ted Nelson were driven by loss, I'm as well, Sam seems to be too. A common meme for making records and preserving them.

46:31 From the discussion that followed, it looks to me like Anna wants to ask for the specific points that were omitted a few minutes before in the conversation because they couldn't get airtime, and Sam talks about the general occurrence of such omissions, but not about any particular instance of it in this call.
